Clear aligners are a series of transparent dental appliances custom-made to fit an individual's teeth. Developed to meet today's aesthetic expectations and produced using a combination of artificial intelligence and human effort, these aligners are constantly improving. They offer functional and aesthetic advantages over traditional braces. Which teeth are treated with clear aligners? Clear aligners are currently used effectively in many treatments for our patients. In cases of malocclusion, gap closure, open bite, and deep bite, clear aligners, produced after careful planning, enable us to achieve successful results with consistent wear by our patients. They are even successfully assisting patients who will undergo orthognathic surgery requiring jaw correction. However, due to the way forces are applied, they have biomechanical limitations in various movements. For example, they are insufficient on their own in the presence of skeletal (bone) narrowing and only assist in treating remaining irregularities after traditional jaw expansion appliances.
